Born from a budgeting app that didn't exist yet
Carpe Money was born out of a desire to meet some personal needs from a budgeting app. I tried several different ones — and while I genuinely respect many of them, I couldn't help but notice the gaps.
I wanted something simple to use, but that could also handle real complexity when life called for it. Something elegant, without hiding the depth underneath.
From the very first line of code, the intention was clear: never sell user data, and pursue the highest possible privacy stance.
So Carpe Money sets out to balance a rich feature set, an elegant interface, and top-tier security — all anchored to the founding principle of user privacy. That balance is the whole point, and it's what Festina Lente means to us: move with intent, but never recklessly.

We never see your bank password, and your data is never ours to sell. Linked-bank data is fetched live and never stored; manual accounts are encrypted so they sync across your devices.
Rich, never complicated
Real budgeting has edges — households, custom rules, recurring charges. Carpe Money handles that depth without making you wade through it.
